resurrect moose cakes ???

over the last few weeks i've been contemplating resurrecting "moose cakes" but under a new, revamped name. i've had a lot of demand to bring it back and still get calls from people asking to make their cakes when i stopped making them for the public back in december. but if and ONLY IF.....

- i am able to hire someone to watch my kids for me while i try to keep up with the demands of cakes

- there will be MANY, MANY stipulations to ordering a cake from me!!! 

such as: 

there will be a 50% deposit required up front, upon ordering or the order will not be filled

the remaining balance will be required 1 week prior to pick up

no last minute cake orders, period!

wedding cakes will be under a contract
you forfeit your deposit if you cancel your order 1 week prior to the date
only an allotted amount of cakes will be scheduled. when i am booked, i am booked! no more work ins!!
if you are 15 minutes late for a pickup & i have prior plans i will leave. you can get your cake when i return and it is convenient for me
if you are 30 minutes late for a pick up, without calling there will be a $10 charge per half hour you are late
my family, appointments, prior arrangements will come FIRST!
i will not change my schedule to fit your's

these are only a few of the many rules i will have for my business. and yes it is MY business and i may run it anyway i see fit with as many rules as i want or are needed. i will not bend these rules for anyone!!! i had so many people take advantage of me last time i made cakes for the public. i had people try to smear my name when they didn't know the first thing about cakes to start with! but ya know you're always going to have "those' kind of people that no matter what, nothing anyone ever does for them will be right or good enough. i had people calling me at the last minute or asking me to come home early from vacation just to make their cakes and i even had people jumping me through hoops only to not show up to get their cake. nothing was more important than their cake, right this very minute and when they wanted!! no one seemed to care that i had a life, children and home to take care of. this was a gift i didn't even have to share with anyone. i'm still not sure yet if i'm ready to do this again. it's going to take a LOT of thinking, planning & preparing for it IF i do. AT THIS TIME I AM NOT TAKING ANY CAKE ORDERS!!! so please do not think that me considering returning to baking means i am going to start again. like i said it's going to require a LOT of heavy thinking if i really want to do this again or not. i just wanted to put it out there and see what others thought and if my requirements were too much to deal with? i know those serious about a cake wouldn't mind these guidelines, it's only the ones who want to start issues that will and i don't want them as a customer anyway.
