oh yea happy, happy...

so monday is our 2nd anniversary. we're going to do something this weekend but nothing spectacular. it's not like we can really go away for the weekend because matt  has to work on saturday and by the time he would get off work, us drop kids off it's already 4pm or after. so going "away" for the weekend is COMPLETELY pointless. even staying in a hotel is dumb because in 9 days we'll be staying in TN for 8 days. so to me that's a total waste of money. it just always feels like our anniversary always gets shafted because either we 1) have to pick up kids so early or we have no one to keep them & 2) it's so close to vacation. last year we REALLY got jipped on our first anniversary because we had to be back home by 11am to pick up kids (i throw the BS flag on that one but that's another story!!) we dropped kids off around 4ish left to go to Marion and got there around 7pm, went to eat almost immediately after getting there then came back in and went to bed. we had to get up SUPER early to even go to Lineville Falls the next morning!! we had to hike the falls fast and didn't even get to go to the caverns, stop and have lunch or anything because we had to rush back UGH! don't get me started. and now this year it's pretty much the same thing all over again. we rarely get to go out as it is so dinner and a movie for our anniversary just isn't going to cut it. moving our vacation earlier or later next isn't an option either. earlier it's too cold and there's higher chances for snow. and later school is out and i'm so not dealing with all that. sad that this is only our 2nd anniversary and it's already gotten like this. i'm just so annoyed. and i don't want to hear any crap about "oh you're getting to spend time together so that should be all that matters" yea guess what it's not! like i said we rarely ever get to do anything without kids as it is so when we don't have them i'd like to go do things that we can't when we normally have them. stay out late, have a few drinks, go see a movie, go away, climb a mountain. anything you can't typically do with small kids but we can't ever do any of that because we always have our kids unlike others!!! i can't get any help for the 2 kids i have, why would i want anymore?
