today we really didn't make much progress but learned a little more. jaxon had another OT eval. the ot today said that it seems everything is in a direct relationship to his eyes and sight. he seems to overshoot when he goes to reach for an object and many objects he doesn't even see. she gave him a string of her shoelaces and he didn't see it but felt it. she seems to think he uses his other senses, touch and hearing to determine what something is. that's also why when you sit him down and he sits in one little area because he can see well enough to know what things are and where things are.
the eye doctor said she wants an MRI done to see if the nerves of the eye and brain are making a connection. dr Pruitt said he wanted an MRI if his motor skills were still delayed to find out what was going on also, so now that's the plan of action, an MRI. she doesn't want to do surgery not knowing what's going on with that connection because the rate is very high for the eye turning in permanently unlike now where it floats in & out. she also wants us to try the patch some more because the patch should do something. she said it doesn't usually do nothing at all.
but great news he picked his roll-a-round balls up and put them in his gumball machine!!! how exciting! i've been working with him since we bought it saturday night and he finally did it. then right after he did it he got up on all 4's and crawled backwards just a little bit!! but it's still crawling.
I hope everything goes good with the MRI and they get it figured out soon what he'll need, whether it be glass or surgery! And YAY for him started to crawl!!! Eeeek, I know you're super excited and I'm sure he is too!! He always looks like he's so excited in his pictures!
