cricut cake

i got a few new cake supplies yesterday and i'm so excited to use them this next week. i have a very special little girl that loves ladybugs and i'm making her a ladybug cake. i can't not wait! i have so many ideas running through my head already. and while shopping for new cake supplies i discovered the most fabulous thing EVER! while i've heard about cricut for paper and scrapbooking they now have a cricut cake! i can only imagine what i could do with that thing. i told matt that if i have enough people interested in wanting my cakes that i MUST have it for Christmas.

in case you've never heard of cricut it's sort of like a computer that you put in different cartridges with many many different types of fonts & pictures and it will cut them out of your fondant. how amazing is that? while it takes a lot of the work of detailing out and having a machine do all the hard stuff for you it makes so many intricate designs, lots that you would never be able to cut out on your own. the possibilities with this thing are endless! look at some cakes that were made using cricut cake

this blue cake was taken from a site that the lady use cricut cake to make almost every cake. they are beautiful. check her site out http://www.creativedesignscakes.com/index.html just look how detailed that is. that cake doesn't need anything else. the design speaks for it's self. i'm hoping that once we get into a new house where ever it may be i'm able to get more into my cake stuff. i'd love to make cakes for people as my "job". i'm still able to stay at home with my babies and do something i throughly enjoy. i miss being able to do artwork and while i was ok at drawing i was more so into painting but even then it was only landscapes. but for some reason on a cake i can just run wild! i can do almost anything, any shape, any style. i just need the counter & cabinet space.
