recently

on mine & matt's 'day date' last week we went to ashley furniture to pick out new stuff. it was so much fun!! we were given a special invitation to a private sale on sunday to receive a hefty discount. around 4pm on sunday matt walks in the living room & told me to get dressed we were going back up there to get our new furniture. i was floored bc i didn't expect us to be getting it so soon. we looked at each of the pieces again and decided 100% that we wanted those pieces, especially after coming home and double measuring to be sure everything would fit. i can't wait to get it all in here! we pick it up next saturday BUT before we go get it we're going to repaint the living room & kitchen, get a new living room rug, get 2 barstools to put at the counter and a space saver highchair to put in one of the barstools so the boys can sit at the bar and eat. i think they'll really enjoy sitting there and this furniture, new paint and decor are just totally going to change the entire look of our house. we can't wait!!!

but while i have good news, i also have bad news. Aunt Nanny passed away yesterday. i was 30 minutes late making it there. she went very peacefully and had little to no pain which is something that we are all so thankful for! it's just so hard to believe she's gone. it all happened so fast :( she was at home, doing fine, then had s.o.b. was taken to the hospital by ambulance and then had been there for 2 weeks. we never thought she wouldn't go back home. i hate this! she's always been here, she's always been so much fun to talk to, visit with, and always told me how proud of me and my boys she is. i miss her like crazy already. but she fought so long and hard and was so tired. life already isn't the same without her. it's hard to explain it to branson too. i got ready to leave today for the dentist and he said "are you going to see aunt nanny?" it took all i could to pull it together to walk out the door. just to see her smile and hear her say "well hey baybee", man i'd give anything!!!
