i have been up since 3:30am this morning running every possible thing through my mind about houses!! i might have slept about 2 hours. we seem to have someone interested in our house that seems promising but i'm not going to say much just in case. i don't want to get myself all excited. but since then we've had to really look at the 2 houses we really like. and oh my gawd i'm thinking of everything you can imagine about these houses. the neighborhoods, do i like this one better than that one. i've already made that decision. one feels more homey and cozy compared to the other. they have the same amount of sq ft (2,300) but one has 4 bedrooms with a bonus that could be a 5th bedroom, the other is 3 bedroom. with the more rooms it makes me believe the rooms are smaller. we haven't looked at the houses in person yet, only online. i would rather have fewer rooms but larger than more rooms and smaller. the one in oakboro has 14 ft ceilings in the great room, yes GREAT room!! and 9 ft ceilings through the main level. both have hardwoods. i love the kitchen in the oakboro house. we haven't seen the bedrooms or any pictures of them yet. but both houses, the masters have separate nice big showers and garden tubs (SCORE!) the house in alb the development has a pool. we were there the other afternoon and it didn't look like many used it often. it was nice but there wasn't anyone there & it was less than 100 yards away from the house.
one has a fenced in backyard which would be perfect for our dogs and the kids. but the other can easily be fenced in (which i want!!) i've been thinking about how will the boys like growing up there. is it a house that all they're friends can come over to when they're older and hang out. schools... oakboro the boys would go to my old high school but the elementary school isn't my favorite. at least living in alb they could go to parkridge private which is where matt & i wanted them to go at least through 6th grade. i love the paint in both houses. it's very neutral and so "me"so we wouldn't have to really worry about repainting unless the one in oakboro has funky paint in the bedrooms. and believe me we've seen some crappers! purple walls, puke turd green walls. hello WTH are these people thinking?! and taking pictures of your house when it's messy and crap is everywhere yea uh no!! that's not going to sell. or when the yard looks like ass and hasn't been mowed in a while. seriously get real. it's never going to sell like that. i just hope that this opportunity doesn't pass us by. yes there may be a house in the future that we like better but i have searched every single site there is out there, every option in our price range at LEAST 10 times. i have both of the houses up now looking at them!! i'm driving myself insane!!
i know that if it doesn't sell right now that it just wasn't the right time. although we NEVER expected it to happen this fast. we didn't expect to be out before Christmas honestly. maybe the beginning of next year at the earliest. but all i know is i'm not holding my breath, i'm not getting super excited even though i know what they said. they liked it a lot, it was one of the nicest houses they've looked at thus far and it meets every qualification they have!! so OH MY GAWD!!! i want to throw up and squeal at the same time.
