i've been a little behind on my blogging lately but it's because i've took up another habit... reading. yea you read that right. i've been reading. i've only read 3 books from start to finish in my life. people ask how that's possible with me going to college and graduating from high school. it's called reading the highlights. but after watching the movie "dear john" a few weeks ago and seeing the previews for the new movie "the last song" i decided i had to read it. both movies are based off the books of nicholas sparks. i got the book last tuesday and finished by sunday. the only reason it took me that long is because i was reading only at night. aw it was such a great book!! he wrote so clear, so easy to understand and with such passion. i was so into the book i could hear the waves of the beach crashing and found a new love for turtles simply because of the book. i even cried at the end. funny how a book could make me do that. i picked up my new book yesterday, the rescue. it's another sparks book. i debated for the longest time between that one and the wedding. the wedding is almost like a second to the notebook. i think it might be my next one. my goal is to read every book sparks has wrote between now and when his new one comes out in the fall. i can not wait to see the movie especially since HE wrote the screen play then wrote the book. so hopefully it won't be too far apart in the two. aww i just loved it!! i almost want to read it again. i never thought i'd find myself saying i was craving to read a book. it's just not something my parents put emphasis on when i was growing up. if i would have read a book when i was at home i would have been laughed at. i don't think i've ever seen either of my parents read, other than the news paper. so hopefully my children will want to read. and speaking of children... while they are asleep i need to go open my book :)
it's my goal to read all of these <3
