the new year, new life goals

i'm going to start making out my new years resolutions a little early this year. i wouldn't actually call them resolutions, more like goals maybe. some things may seem trivial or insignificant but it's the simple things that mean so much. it's the little things that make a big change.

-- Branson & I will start Project 365. we will write about 1 thing each day in this blog of something special that happened and take a picture to document.

-- I plan to make it through the entire alphabet, taking one letter each week with Branson. I have a set of books with each letter and we will use one book per week for our lesson.

-- drama will NO LONGER be involved my life. if someone brings drama they will be removed promptly and never reconsidered or given a second thought.

-- Matt & I will take more time for US! we may piss some people off but danggit I think we deserve some time for just us finally. We will get at least 1 date night every 2 weeks.

-- I have been working out once a day and steadily losing weight. But after New Year's my workouts will go to twice a day.

-- I will no longer lower my standards to argue with idiots who don't have the slightest clue about me or my life. They can say whatever they want and make all the judgements they wish but I know it's all the result of pure jealousy.

-- foods will be changed from regular white to wheat or white wheat such as pastas and breads. but i will not give up dr pepper. that's just asking for someone to be murdered haha.

-- my time spent on the computer while the boys are awake and Matt is at home will be minimal. you may catch me on my blackberry if you need me.

-- my house will stay cleaner than it does now. there will be no mess, and especially NO clutter.

-- I will finish reading my book that I started when I was pregnant with Branson [Wicked] and read a new one [Under the Sabers: The Unwritten Code of Army Wives]

-- I will constantly find new things to cook to expand my list of recipes.

-- my traditions will continue and we will make new traditions as well.

-- no one will haun in or ruin our time as a family anymore. if their plans are different from ours or they try to ruin our time together then they will be quickly be removed from the situation.

-- I will learn to weed out the "friends" that i no longer have things in common with or can not support my life's choices.

-- I will grow closer with my true friends and they will become even more like family.

-- my MIL and I will take more time to go out & spend together.

-- I will try to be slower to speak, quicker to listen. but I won't make any promises!

-- the past will be let go of but NEVER forgotten. those people will NOT & will NEVER be forgiven.

-- i want to learn at least one new skill before the year is over. whether it be cross stitching, claymaking, photography or cooking & baking with different mediums. i will expand my mind :)

-- return and complete the math course that has given me so much trouble so that i may move forward with my career path.
