i really don't have anything important to post about today but i just couldn't let a date like today's pass by without writing some form of a blog. today is 9/10/11. that's pretty neat. tomorrow is the 10th anniversary of Sept 11 too. i remember it was in my senior year of high school and i didn't even know what was going on until 11am. my grandma actually saw the second plane hit the towers. all afternoon activities were cancelled and at the game friday night all of us cheerleaders rode in on 4-wheelers carrying American flags on the back. there was a moment of silence and a prayer. the entire crowd had tears in their eyes. it was a very sad moment but very special moment too. it's hard to believe that it's been 10 years and so many of the youth don't have any understanding of it's significance either. i know there's things have happened in the past when our parents were growing up that we can't understand either but some of these kids just have no respect for anything to do with that day. someone on facebook posted yesterday a young girl said she was sick of hearing the news coverage about the 10 year anniversary. i thought wow! smack her face! i just hope the suspected thoughts of another attack happening tomorrow aren't true =/
